FAQ - what do I get asked the most?
When will I get my photos?
Your photographs will be ready for viewing a week after your photo session (sometimes an extended family can take a little bit longer). You will get to view your photos in a beautiful slideshow either in my studio, or in your home (zoom is always an option too). I will then help take the stress away by helping you decide your favourites. Seeing a bunch of beautiful photographs all at once can be a bit overwhelming, but I am here to help and make it easier for you.Can I bring my pets?
YES!! Pets are always welcome, from dogs to horses - I love them all (except for snakes, please don’t bring any pet snakes). As well as individual portraits of the kids, I love to capture your pets as well. What happens if it’s raining on the day we booked our session?
If it is heavy rain, with no chance of clearing, we will need to reschedule. If it is raining a little bit with some breaks, we can proceed with your session if you wish too. Photos in the rain can be some of the best, usually not with little ones as it just gets to cold - but couple photographs can be beautiful if you’re willing. I always consult with you on what decision to make, and the final call can be made early in the day or we can wait until the very last minute if you would like too.How long will the photo session take?
I love to take as much time as we need. You will not be charged any more or less if your photo session takes 3 hours or 1 hour. Typically a small family photo sessions last about 30 mins - however, if kiddies are upset, or take a bit of time to warm up, we take as long as we need, there is not time limit. For a large extended family the session can take up to an hour - I will take some photographs of the whole family group, individual families, grandchildren with grandparents - whatever combination you like, the session price remains the same no matter how many people you bring along. Children tend to only last for so long, so I like to photograph them first if I can. What should we bring?
You don’t need to bring anything if you don’t want to. However; if you have small children (or Dads) you can never have too many snacks. Bring snacks that don’t make a mess, avoid chocolates, juicy fruits or sticky lollies - crackers and/or small things they can grab and eat relatively quickly are best (think sultanas, nuts, dried apricots etc) . They can also bring a favourite teddy or toy if they want to as well. Don’t be afraid to allow favourite teddies in some of your photographs. Remember children the way they are are the best kinds of memories, your kids seeing their most loved teddy in the photograph will give them memories to last a lifetime.Do you travel for photo session?
Yes. I travel wherever you’d like me too. However; travel to the north of the state (or further) may incur a travel fee.Our kids are shy and don’t want to pose for photos - what should we do?
I love to customise your photo session to suit you. Not every family wants a posed family photograph, some love to have a more lifestyle photography approach. Every family is different, every child is different and customising your sessions for you means you and your children will get the photos you deserve and will be able to love and appreciate for many years to come. I love to play lots of games with the kids, and kids love to spend uninterrupted time with their parents. A photo session is often not about capturing the photographs, but also about the time you are taking away from your busy schedule to dance, play, snuggle and spend time with each other - creating a photo session that your kids will remember for a long time is all part of the experience. What happens if someone is sick?
We can always reschedule. Sickness happens - it’s no ones fault, and can’t be helped, rescheduling at the last minute due to sickness does not incur a reschedule fee.How far in advance should I book?
You should book your newborn session when you are approximately 20 weeks pregnant (earlier if you can). New born sessions are scheduled within a two -three week period and when baby is born we confirm a date once you are feeling up to it. Newborn photography is limited to 2 sessions a month, so it’s important to book early to ensure you get a date. You should also aim to book your family photography session in advance as much as you can, if you are lucky I might have a date open and you can book it within a week, but this doesn’t happen often. To make sure you get the date you want, book as early as you can.Do you offer prints or albums?
I sure do - and I love to offer these offer digital files. Digital files get lost or forgotten - prints get to be enjoyed and shared. Albums are a great way to keep all your images from your session and framed or canvas prints are a great way to see your images everyday. If you would like to know more about what I offer, get in touch and I would love to have a chat. Will you photograph my wedding?
Unfortunately I don’t do weddings at this time. You can always ask and try to bribe me if you like, but weddings just are’t my forte.
